We are building our IT team and looking for a world-class IT Engineer with expertise in improving and scaling IT systems and infrastructure. As an early member of our IT team, you’ll have a key role in building the future of healthcare from first principles.

The Pivot to Virtual Care [Chief Medical Officer @ Stanford Medicine]
What You’ll Do:
  • Tackle problems on the boundary of software, hardware, data science and the real world.
  • Work with top-flight software and hardware and data science engineering talent from places like Google, Amazon, Nvidia, Palantir, and NASA JPL.
  • Own entire projects while working alongside cross-functional teams of physicians, designers, and operators.
  • Lay the foundational groundwork for our engineering systems and practices.
  • Collaborate with domain experts in a variety of fields, from AI and machine learning to massive distributed systems and sophisticated scheduling algorithms
  • Our engineers have worked on world-class products like core AWS infrastructure, Amazon Go stores, Uber algorithms, and Tesla self-driving cars. They have also contributed to major software projects like TensorFlow and React.

What We’re Looking For:
  • Impact – You’re deeply mission-driven. You want to use your engineering skills to try and make a positive difference in the world.
  • Full stack – You think it’s exciting to edit a UI component on one screen, updating the logic of an API on another screen, and monitoring the underlying infrastructure in between.
  • Product passion –  You want to build the right product that solves a problem that affects us all.
  • Entrepreneurship – You’re a self-starter who loves to own things end-to-end. You don’t ask for permission – you’re too busy making things happen.
  • Team player – You know how to make those around you better and feed off their energy. You take care of your teammates.
  • Curiosity – Do you like to mess around with computer vision, hardware hacking, or bioinformatics in your free time? Have you made your own smart mirror? We have got some fun things for you…
  • You have a BS or MS in computer science or a related field
  • You have a minimum of 2 years experience working in a related field
