The Social Video Intern will focus on capturing and editing original video content to be distributed across the Hydrow brand’s social and digital channels. You will collaborate with athletes and fitness experts across ideation, production planning and execution of predominantly short-form, social-first content driving viewership and website traffic. The internship is a 20-hour per week commitment.
  • Produce and edit short- and midform video projects – everything from 15 seconds to 15 minutes
  • Collaborate with athletes and production leads to develop video content concepts for execution
  • Capture a variety of video types using mobile devices and other appropriate video recording equipment
  • Support and assist live video content creation
  • Employ grammatical, spelling and style accuracy, plus overall best practices, across all audience-facing copy
  • Identify and execute content repurposing opportunities for Hydrow’s YouTube channel and social media accounts
  • Opportunity to analyze and report platform engagement metrics
  • Opportunity to pitch new concepts and ideas for execution
  • Opportunity to support publishing to platforms such as YouTube and Instagram
  • 1-2 years working in a media environment, creating and managing content
  • Fluent with video editing software or applications
  • Familiar with developing video content for public distribution
  • Outstanding video editing technique and sensibilities
  • Strong writing and editing abilities
  • Familiar with social and digital platform trends and nuances
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
  • You meet deadlines and produce quality work
  • You have a natural curiosity and a passion for understanding performance of content across channels
  • Experience supporting and/or publishing to live streams a plus
  • Great opportunity for a recent graduate with a degree in production, journalism, film or similar creative marketing
  • Comfortable supporting occasional night and weekend coverage
  • (For local candidates) You are able to capture content on-site at Hydrow HQ as well as on-location at production sites
