The Enterprise Applications Specialist plays a critical role in managing enterprise software systems at Papa, Inc. The Specialist will draw on a background in procurement and vendor management to obtain favorable pricing terms from vendors and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with them. This person will also view our vendor relationships holistically, making key vendor data points available to stakeholders such as Compliance, Accounting, and Security Operations  In addition, this individual will function as a system specialist in core company systems, including but not limited to HRIS, accounting, or other shared software  Their expertise in these core systems will not only benefit the company generally, but enable more effective vendor management.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Procurement and familiarity with System Administration. They will have excellent people skills, be fearless in their quest for knowledge, demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, and have the technical literacy to see the big picture of how each of these enterprise systems underpins our operations.  Finally, the ideal candidate will be kind, respectful, collaborative, and contribute to Papa’s people-first culture.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Engage in vendor management for the company’s enterprise software systems, refining our purchasing / licensing strategy and building vendor relationships
  • Develop and manage a procurement process for software purchases, including initiating negotiations, reviewing quotes, tracking renewals and other deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Finance, Accounting, and Legal departments to integrate the procurement process into their workflows, obtaining review and approvals where appropriate
  • Work with the Enterprise Applications team to become a system expert in designated core systems, supporting stakeholders to meet their needs
  • Partner with stakeholder teams to design system or workflow improvements, including integrations

Requirements:

  • 3+ year of experience in Procurement and System Administration
    • Experience negotiating with software vendors
    • Exposure to procurement-related compliance, including CCPA, OFAC and SOX obligations
    • Intermediate or higher knowledge of generic system components, including databases, records, interfaces and fields, etc
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong familiarity with Google Workspace applications, Slack, and ticketing systems like Jira preferred
  • Working knowledge of NetSuite
  • Experience maintaining confidentiality
  • Exceptional attention to detail
