About the Role: 

Papa is seeking an outstanding candidate to join our accounting team as a Senior Revenue Accountant either remotely (US) or in Miami, FL. The Senior Revenue Accountant will play a key role and have ownership over the order to cash process to ensure timely and accurate accounting for revenue related areas in accordance with ASC 606. You will be responsible for preparing monthly customer invoices, customer account reconciliations, commission calculations, and month end revenue recognition and revenue reporting. This person will work closely with Accounting and Finance leadership, as well as leadership across the organization including client operations, customer success, and externally with our customers.

The position is ideal for someone with an extensive revenue recognition and revenue accounting background that enjoys building new processes to support a business at scale. The person will be comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and rapidly changing environment.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Oversee all revenue accounting and ASC 606 related activities and identify improvements in the order to cash process 
  • Prepare month-end journal entries and account reconciliations by working with different areas of the business to ensure all transactions are recorded in accordance with Company policy and US GAAP
  • Participate in and own revenue to cash process improvements and automaton efforts to reduce manual customer invoicing and increase cash collections 
  • Monitor customer contracts to ensure accurate recording and reporting of any credits or commission calculations on a monthly basis 
  • Support strategic finance, and sales teams in working through revenue issues with prospective and current customers 
  • Manage the creation and delivery of customer invoices monthly as well as supporting the automation of the invoicing process.
  • Support, develop and document accounting policies and financial procedures to maintain & strengthen internal controls & compliance
  • Assist in the development of key accounting policies and document memos 
  • Analyze existing processes and systems and identify and lead improvement opportunities 
  • Prepare documentation for the year-end External Audit


  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field, CPA preferred
  • 3-6 years total experience with a mix of Big 4 and industry experience preferred; healthcare experience a plus
  • Strong accounting knowledge and experience with understanding revenue recognition and U.S. GAAP
  • Ability to work with various teams and perform several tasks concurrently in a deadline driven environment 
  • Proactive, self driven individual with the ability to multitask, take initiative, and learn quickly
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel skills 
  • Experience creating written and oral communications and presentations with the ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Experience with Netsuite and Salesforce is a plus
  • Financial statement preparation is a plus.
  • Excellent time and self-management skills & ability to prioritize.
  • High attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a good business judgment.
