Are you our next Senior Legal Counsel (13 months FTC)? You will provide timely, pragmatic and commercially focused advice on a range of commercial contracts, privacy, compliance, brand protection and intellectual property matters. This critical position will collaborate across all departments within the Group’s International business by serving as a strategic and trusted business partner.  Focussing on the protection of Gymshark’s interests and assets, you will operate through legal design and value-add solution management , and help drive the continuous improvement of our commercial operations.



  • Provide specialist advice and guidance on a broad range of commercial contracts, brand protection, intellectual property, privacy and compliance matters, focussing on the protection of Gymshark’s interests and mitigation and risk management.
  • Bring new techniques for improving our contracting strategy to the attention of the Group Legal Director – including trends, insight and best practice.
  • Identify, suggest and implement practical solutions to eliminate or mitigate risk and add value.
  • Co-operate and negotiate with external bodies, such as suppliers, contractors, consumers and regulatory authorities.
  • Support the Group Legal Director in the continuing development of the Commercial Strategy.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders to implement appropriate risk management procedures, both preventative and remedial, to preserve and protect Gymshark’s interests.
  • Deal with external parties (external advisors and other parties as necessary).
  • Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of policies, processes and contracting strategies and understand the landscape for further improvement.



  • Qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales
  • Expert knowledge of and proven specialism in contract law.
  • Strong understanding of Anti-Bribery & Corruption, Whistleblowing, Competition Law, Sanctions, Modern Slavery and other legal compliance topics gained either in private practice or in-house.
  • High degree of professional ethics, integrity and gravitas.
  • Excellent prioritisation, organisational and motivational skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with both technical and non-technical colleagues, translating complex concepts into simple terms where required.
  • The ability to thrive, with minimum level of supervision, in a risk- taking, fast paced environment.
  • Ability in producing reports and developing relevant policies.
  • Good knowledge of data analysis and impact assessments.
  • Agile to change and pragmatic, you’ll be a collaborative team player and be comfortable working in a high pressure, fast paced environment where identifying needs, providing solutions and adding value is a prerequisite.
  • Commercial awareness and a creative problem solver with the ability to think laterally and understand the cost and value drivers within a competitive business environment.
