Merchandising Manager

As Gymshark continues to expand globally, we are seeking a North America Merchandise Manager to manage the assortment strategy for the NA consumer. This person will help shape the North America Commercial function, maintaining best-in-class merchandising and buying standards, determining the best product for the market.  

Please note this is a hybrid role partially based in our New York City office. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate. You must also be authorized to work in the United States. 


Responsible for:

  • Lead the selection and purchasing of products for the NA region for either our Womens Division or Mens/Accessories Division, determining assortments, colors, sizing and overarching strategy 
  • Collaborate with Global Product Buying to determine North American seasonal buying guidelines 
  • Help manage the Open-to-Buy monthly in partnership with planning 
  • Manage weekly & monthly reporting results and analyze the business accordingly 
  • Provide end of season merchandising reporting and analysis to improve the following season’s offering based on the North American needs 
  • Lead the analysis of selling trends and manage the reorder process 
  • Monitor detailed sales and stock for each category by distribution center 
  • Manage inventory to drive heathy stock levels while supporting Topline and Margin Sales targets 
  • Partner with ecomm teams to drive strong site conversion rates with a focus on site merchandising and strategy.  
  • Evaluate competitive market trends within the fitness and conditioning environment  
  • Communicate with logistics team on warehouse stock flow management  
  • Manage, train and help direct a growing team of Merchandisers & Assistants across varying levels skill sets


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5+ years in merchandising, planning or buying  
  • E-commerce and direct to consumer experience a must 
  • Previous experience managing a team including managing managers 
  • Operational confidence in keeping on top of sales performance, proposing actions and following through to completion in a fast-paced business 
  • Advanced excel skills, with the ability to summarize and decipher key takeaways 
  • Very strong numerically, analytical and commercially minded 
  • Be naturally time conscious and KPI driven to attain deadlines. 
  • High attention to detail

This role has a salary range between $110,000-$140,000. The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills. 

Part of our compensation package includes a discretionary annual company performance bonus.
