OVERVIEW:

The Merchandise Planner supports the North American (NAM) commercial function and Planning Manager as it relates to the development and maintenance of budgets, fiscal forecasts, and in-season analysis. 

Please note this is a hybrid role partially based in our New York City office. All candidates must be local or willing to relocate. You must also be authorized to work in the United States. 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

Responsible For:

  • Developing and maintaining relationships with relevant stakeholders across the business related to planning, merchandising, marketing, and commercial analytics 
  • Executing the pre-season planning process related to hindsighting, customer choice counts, and receipt targets that support the upcoming season’s strategies and fiscal budget 
  • Executing and presenting the monthly Open-to-Buy for respective gender/territories ensuring sales, margin, and inventory KPI targets are being met  
  • Maintaining the key item forecasts and providing recommended actions to the Merchandise Management team related to sales and inventory 
  • Executing weekly trade analysis and providing recommended actions  
  • Partnering with the Planning Manager and Merchandise Management team to analyze and action on aged inventory and markdowns  
  • Supporting the build out of NAM planning team processes, tools, and reporting 
  • Developing and training the Associate and Assistant Planners on the team 

Accountable For:

  • Weekly and monthly business reporting  
  • Achieving tops down budget and financial metrics via monthly reforecast and pre-season budget processes 
  • Analyzing and improving inventory position 
  • Data reporting and analysis on a weekly basis

This role has a salary range between $80,000-$90,000. The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills.
