HR Business Partner

Are you our next HR Business Partner? As we prepare to move to our new office space in New York, we are seeking an HR professional who will build trusted partnerships with our North America senior management team and become an extension to their allocated function(s), supporting on their medium to long term people goals.

We’ve recently appointed a General Manager for our US markets, and this role will partner closely with this leader’s organisation to drive the strategic growth and the Gymshark employer brand in the region. It will also work collaboratively with colleagues in UK, therefore prior international experience or reporting to a remote HQ would be very beneficial.

Our US HR Business Partner will translate delivery of Gymshark’s global culture and business strategy into the New York team in and Gymshark’s North American community. The role ultimately harnesses and evolves the unique Gymshark culture to deliver a world class employee experience for our North American teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • Ambassadorship of culture: leading by example, demonstrating the Gymshark values, and setting the standard, and what that means in North America.
  • Ensuring that all employee relations issues are handled in line with legislation
  • Prioritization of the safety and well-being of our employees and diversity, inclusion and equity in all aspects
  • Provision of expert advice and support to line managers on all HR / People related issues 
  • Development and delivery of pragmatic solutions to help drive the functional business plans in a commercially viable way


What You’ll Need

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Full or Part SHRM qualified  
  • Senior experience from Retail or Wholesale organisations
  • Previous HR experience and ideally business partnering within a generalist or specialist role. 
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with multiple stakeholders 
  • Knowledge and awareness of global employment legislation and practices
  • Keep up to date with legislation, external trends and best practice
  • Experience in influencing senior management
  • Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 
  • Able to work autonomously, in a risk-taking, fast paced environment 
  • Agile to change and pragmatic
  • Commercial Awareness and a creative problem solver with the ability to think laterally and understand the cost and value drivers within a competitive business environment 
  • Excellent judgement and analytical skills 



The hiring range is between $120,000 -150,000. The base pay offered is based on market, experience, and skills. 


Due to the importance of this role, you’ll need to work a hybrid pattern, expecting to be based from our Gymshark office (Soho area of Manhattan) at least 3-days a week.
