The impact you’ll make:

As a Director of technical product management you will craft the strategy for the technical platform team. You will be responsible for overall technical performance of the product and driving business impact through infrastructural investments. You’ll work closely with platform squads and other product managers to deliver a stable infrastructure while providing new platform services that drive business impact. 

What you’ll do: 

  • Define the product vision and strategy for core technical teams including but not limited to: product services, platform apis, content production, content management, music management, DevOps, etc. 
  • Communicate highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience in order to drive alignment across the business
  • Coach and mentor a growing team of technical product managers
  • Utilize data and systems thinking to prioritize product and engineering investments that have the highest business impact
  • Work with executive leadership to define the technical product vision and strategy
  • Guide our platform services product roadmap while collaborating with technical squad leads throughout the process.
  • Help identify, define, and prioritize the features, APIs, and services that are beneficial for Product Engineering. 

What you’ll need to be successful:

  • 5+ years of TPM experience delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet or mobile data products coupled with a minimum of 3+ years of technical product leadership experience including hiring, managing, and developing technical product management teams.
  • Experience in software development, software architecture, data architecture, infrastructure, and integration for applications that are consumer facing.
  • Experience reading, analyzing, communicating, and writing API specifications and technical product documentation.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Science, or equivalent work experience; Masters Degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • Added bonus if you have a proven track record of building algorithm based products at scale (serving millions of customers) through strong partnerships with product, data science, and engineering.
