OVERVIEW

Senior operations manager will oversee all logistics and transportation operations with direct reports. They will be responsible for managing and coordinating various aspects of the logistics process to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, process optimization, team leadership, performance management, and continuous improvement initiatives. The senior operations manager will be tasked with developing and implementing operational strategies aligned with organizational goals, driving efficiency, and reducing costs while maintaining quality standards. The senior manager will push the Logistics Leadership Team’s strategy while proficiently managing existing business operations and proactively preparing the team to handle the projected growth of the company.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Analyze and improve on current mapped out processes, ensuring adherence to established procedures to maximize efficiency and execution.
  • Manage a team ranging from 3 to 5 employees by providing direction, support, and accountability to achieve and exceed stated key performance indicators.
  • Conduct training sessions and provide ongoing guidance to team members on processes, procedures, and best practices.
  • Generate accurate reports for senior management, maintaining transparent and effective communication with all stakeholders, including direct reports, peers, and upper-level management.
  • Ensure timely completion of projects and tasks assigned to both individuals and the team, monitoring progress and resolving any issues that arise.
  • Identify and address operational challenges, utilizing available resources to implement solutions and improve processes to prevent future occurrences.
  • Provide clear direction and guidance to operations teams, clarifying roles, responsibilities, and expectations to foster a cohesive and productive work environment.
  • Plan and execute best in class transit options from several global origins routing to multiple distribution centers across in several global destinations.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proficiency in strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to generate innovative solutions.
  • Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, essential for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Self-directed and organized with strong time management skills.
  • Inherent sense of urgency and self-motivation to drive results.
  • Preferably a college graduate with 3-5 years of relevant experience and/or training.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Suite, is required.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in change management processes.
  • CAPA – Corrective Action/Preventive Action experience

The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$130,000 per year which represents the current range for the base salary for this exempt position. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. As such, on occasion and when applicable, there is the possibility that the final, agreed-upon base salary may be outside of the upper end of the range. Please also note the range listed is just one component of the company’s total rewards package for exempt employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, long term incentives, a PTO policy, and many other progressive benefits.
