We are seeking a talented and experienced Art Director who will play a key role in shaping Ten Thousand’s brand. Ten Thousand represents a stoic dedication to continuous improvement—every day faster, every day stronger, every day better than yesterday. As an Art Director, you’ll help expand our audience by building deeper connections through visual expressions, establishing the Ten Thousand idea of strength as something deeply human and profoundly empowering.

Candidates should have a deep understanding of e-commerce, digital, and brand marketing, such as web, email, out of home, OOH, and performance media design, as well as experience leading brand productions.

We are looking for someone who is highly motivated and can perform at a high level: fast, organized, able to work independently and adept at managing multiple projects and shifting priorities. You should be able to translate business and marketing objectives into creative ideas that are compelling, engaging, and elevate brand expression and standards.


Art Direction and Creative Development:

  • Lead creative brainstorming sessions and collaborate with team members to generate innovative ideas for campaigns and marketing initiatives.
  • Establish visual guidelines, brand standards, and style guides to ensure consistent branding across all channels and platforms globally.
  • Maintain a keen awareness of industry trends, emerging technologies, and platform best practices to enhance creative output, driving sales and furthering the growth of Ten Thousand’s identity.

Campaign and Asset Production:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and create campaign concepts supporting content generation across brand channels including website, email, organic and paid social media, out of home, and other related marketing and experiential collateral.
  • Partner with the Copywriter to create cohesive creative strategies, ensuring visuals and tone of voice complement each other effectively and are on brand.
  • Oversee the end-to-end creative process from ideation to completion, managing the design team to ensure deadlines are met and quality standards are upheld and advanced.
  • Develop art direction and provide feedback to guide design team members, freelancers, and external agencies to ensure deliverables meet brand and campaign objectives.

Photography and Video Production:

  • Direct and provide creative guidance during brand productions, ensuring adherence to brand guidelines and campaign strategies and objectives.
  • Oversee post-production processes, including editing, retouching, and video editing, to deliver polished and impactful visual content.
  • Help expand the Ten Thousand network of talent, photographers, videographers, and production teams to develop visual concepts and execute high-quality visual assets.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Design, Fine Arts, Film Production/Photography, or equivalent.
  • 6+ years of creative experience with 2-3 years working as an Art Director in an agency or in-house creative team, with a focus on integrated marketing and creative production.
  • Mastery of appropriate tools and technology, including Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.), Figma, Frame, and Google Suite.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing exceptional creative direction, design skills, photography, and video production expertise across a variety of mediums and platforms.

The hiring range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 annually. Salary for the prospective employee is determined by a combination of factors that include qualifications, applicable skills, relevant experience and other budgetary considerations such as location/geography.
