The opportunity:

Parsley Health is seeking a VP of Product and Engineering. You are either an Engineering leader with experience managing and overseeing product, or a Product leader with former hands-on experience as an Engineer. The ideal candidate is someone highly data-driven who has built delightful user-facing experiences and understands the business drivers of enterprise healthcare. This person will report directly to our CEO and Founder, Robin Berzin.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead ideation and drive step-change improvements to business, users, and technology at both the strategic and tactical level
  • Manage and scale Product, Data, Design, Engineering, and IT/Security teams inclusive of career development, hiring, coaching, and managing remotely
  • Build beautiful consumer-grade products that are usable, accessible, aesthetically appealing and deliver upon user’s needs
  • Create the best user experience by combining user research, third party data, market & industry data, first party data, and qualitative internal feedback
  • Data Leadership: manage our Data organization and partner with Operations, Clinical, Actuarial, and Sales/Marketing teams to service a high-velocity, high-quality data strategy and infrastructure that supports BI, reporting and health outcomes data

What you’ll need:

  • Experience in enterprise healthcare, including (but not limited to): compliance (HIPAA, HITRUST, SOC2), EMR selection/migration, employer and health plan integration, telehealth/virtual services delivery, winning patient experiences, and provider tools that drive efficiency and satisfaction
  • Process-driven team management experience: achieving targets through ruthless prioritization, root-cause analysis, appropriate process, and leadership level support & collaboration.
  • Comfortability with light hands-on work in the following areas: coding, analytics, code review, architecture, product requirements & roadmapping
  • Technical prowess to make intelligent build/buy decisions and architect and agile, high-performing, and measurable technical stack
  • Experience serving as an executive leader presenting to the entire company to bring people together towards a vision
  • Digital health startup experience (vs. health system/health plan experience only)
  • Track record of hiring and retaining top talent

Nice-to-haves:

  • Based in the greater NYC area
  • Both D2C and B2B2C experience
  • Experience with subscription e-commerce businesses: activation/conversion optimization, onboarding, retention optimization, and product-led growth

Parsley Health is committed to providing an equitable, fair and transparent compensation program for all employees.

The starting salary for this role is between $300,000 – $350,000, depending on skills and experience. We take a geo-neutral approach to compensation within the US, meaning that we pay based on job function and level, not location.

Individual compensation decisions are based on a number of factors, including experience level, skillset, and balancing internal equity relative to peers at the company. We expect the majority of the candidates who are offered roles at our company to fall healthily throughout the range based on these factors. We recognize that the person we hire may be less experienced (or more senior) than this job description as posted. If that ends up being the case, the updated salary range will be communicated with candidates during the process.
