​​You are an experienced marketing professional with plenty of initiative who is looking to advance their career in a dynamic, fast paced, and progressive environment in the fitness industry.

This role is one that is varied and instrumental to the business. Working with a cross functional team, your primary objective is to be responsible for branded paid and organic content, landing always on brand messaging and campaign messaging for Barry’s clients utilising multiple channels and across multiple markets. 

As such, this role will provide a brilliant opportunity for someone who is ambitious, proactive, and looking to take the next step in their career.

This role requires experience or relevant qualifications with project management, content strategy, CRM, copywriting and an eye for design. 




Project Management 

  • Work with Senior Marketing Manager to develop content strategy (across owned and paid channels) to effectively communicate always on brand messaging and campaign messaging 
  • Develop strong relationships with studio managers to understand individual content needs of each studio 
  • Execute the content strategy with support of external vendors 
  • Manage external resources – paid media agency and graphic designer – to execute content strategy 
  • Manage internal content reviews reviews with Barry’s UK and Barry’s global as well as any required with external influencers and/or brand partners 
  • Ensure consistent messaging across all channels 
  • Analyse content performance and work with Senior Marketing Manager to report learnings and recommendations back to the business

Content Creation 

  • Develop content shoot concepts with Senior Marketing Manager 
  • Plan and execute content shoots with external photographer and/or content production agency and support from Marketing coordinator 
  • Develop briefs and manage design with external graphic designer to create assets for emails, paid social, organic social and digital screen content 
  • Plan, create and edit social content (stills and video) that effectively communicate campaign messaging 
  • Utilise market research to localise content across three regions with edits to assets, copywriting and design 

Content Amplification 

  • Manage CRM touchpoints – email, paid social and organic social – across three regions 
  • Manage email targeting, scheduling and sending via Klayvio 
  • Utilise A/B testing where necessary to strengthen future content formats 
  • Develop briefs and serve as POC for external paid media agency
  • Understanding of paid media, audience segmentation and targeting to oversee external paid media agency 
  • Customise digital content formats based on individual needs from internal stakeholders and external partners

Please note that some travel may occasionally be required, including to national sites. 



You’ll generally work a standard 9am to 6pm day but hours could sometimes include shift or weekend work. There may also be a requirement to work extra hours to meet deadlines.

This role is for all Barry’s UK and Ireland studios. 




  • 5-6 years of relevant marketing experience in an marketing / communications / PR agency or health / fitness industry 
  • University level Marketing / Business education (preferred) 
  • Work with brands / companies reaching audiences in two or more markets 


Hard Skills 


  • Project management (including building timelines) 
  • Campaign management 
  • Developing, photo shoot, design and paid media briefs
  • Managing content shoots for print, online and social formats 
  • Copywriting 
  • Light touch design skills (resizing, reformatting, etc) 
  • Video editing for social (Reels, TikTok) 
  • CRM management with Klaviyo or a similar program 
  • Analysing content performance and reporting on metrics 


Soft Skills 


  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines 
  • Team player; ability to work with other people on multi-channel campaigns/multi-departmental projects, while also able to work independently on individual projects
  • Highly organized and able to manage various multiple projects/tasks at once
  • Strong interpersonal skills; comfortable cold calling, traveling around sites and conversing with teams or third parties on a regular basis
  • Highly creative and full of ideas and energy for driving our brand forward
