OLIPOP is searching for a VP of Shopper & Retailer Marketing to join our team and drive high impact in shopper marketing, retailer media, in-store displays & execution, look of success on shelf & strategic retailer partnerships & programming. This position focuses on building and growing our current shopper & retail marketing team while being the bridge between the brand marketing and commercial functions of the business.

In this role, you’ll be the functional leader of the Shopper & Retailer Marketing Team leading all commercial initiatives across digital & physical shopper & retailer marketing strategies.   • Create a vision and drive execution of shopper marketing initiatives across major retail channels and customers that span across the entire shopper journey, strategizing and partnering closely with the Sales, Marketing & Commercial Strategy teams in both large format & small format retailers.
  • Build, develop, and grow a best in class Shopper & Retailer Marketing Team for the fastest growing beverage category in the country.
  • Understand the importance and skills that are needed to build a high performing, cross-functional, and growth mindset team that will be critical for the continued success of the OLIPOP brand and the category we lead.
  • Develop & own our current strategy & budgets behind all facets of shopper and retailer marketing opportunities and programs.
  • Develop & own the commercial strategy, cross-functional implementation, and in-store execution of displays, POS, sweepstakes, coupons & retailer partnerships.
  • Develop, own, and adapt our current shopper & retailer marketing toolbox for the next phase of growth at OLIPOP in order to enable both our key account teams & field execution teams to succeed within their roles & functions.
  • Collaborate with the sales, supply chain, & finance teams on the development of in-store display programming ideation, planning, and execution at store level.
  • Collaborate with category & business insights teams on space planning, merchandising, & shopper insights to inform our look of success across our retail partners and key channels of business.
  • Collaborate & partner with our marketing & brand team on developing, building, and implementing 360 Marketing approaches on a quarterly basis across brand & commercial big marketing impact moments to ensure that all creative campaign ideas have a call to action in store.


  • 8+ years in the consumer packaged goods industry experience within a shopper & retailer marketing role; beverage experience a plus.
  • 5+ years being a people manager with impactful leadership experience.
  • Must have hands-on experience with the following platforms/partners in order to understand how to drive strategy with our team: Instacart, iBotta, Catalina, News America and ALL retailer.com shopper retail media platforms.
  • Must have experience with the vendors that assist with: in-store display program, POS, merch, & space planning/display rendering.
  • Must have in-store experience from ideation and strategy to in-store execution of displays with cross-functional work with sales, finance, & supply chain.
  • Deeply passionate about OLIPOP, and inspired by what we represent. Has the desire and hunger to make an impact.
  • Advanced proficiency across all retailer media platforms, how they operate, and how to optimize our performance across each.
  • A thorough understanding of the full retailer landscape and expert knowledge base of all the various ways that OLIPOP can activate within the shopper & retailer marketing function.
  • Obsession for understanding sales trends. Lives, breathes and dreams about how to better translate data to tell stories, drive teams, & provide strategic guidance for our teams.
  • Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early stage company. Ability to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment.
  • Ability to be a leader, a teacher, & a willingness to get your hands on critical projects and strategic initiatives for the business.
  • Must be a highly adaptable strategic thinker that is willing to be curious and a creative problem solver.
  • Extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment.
  • You’re able to know when to delegate, know when to coach, & know when to jump in.
  • Strong ability to connect the dots from data to building a comprehensive narrative to grow our brand and business.
  • An acute attention to detail, but not to the point of being inflexible, and the ability to produce accurate work quickly & efficiently.
  • Ability to take initiative and work autonomously – you can run with something from beginning to end.
  • Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get at the solution.
  • Strong planning, organization and project management skills, along with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Suite. Experience with team collaboration tools such as Slack and Zoom preferred.

$200,000-$220,000 base salary + bonus
