Hinge Health Hybrid Model:
We believe that remote work and in-person work have their own advantages and disadvantages, and want to be able to leverage the best of both worlds. Some roles which require a greater degree of day-to-day collaboration will benefit from more in-person opportunities. Employees in Hybrid roles are expected to be in office 1 day/week (Wednesdays) in hub locations that have an office, and may be expanded to 2 days in 2024.
About the Role
You will join our rapidly growing Data Science team as Senior Data Scientist, working with our Finance and Accounting teams. You will work closely with our Revenue Cycle Management and Billings teams in designing, auditing, and optimizing our billing frameworks, processes, and accounting [charge capture, contractual adjustments, third-party reimbursements, cash collections, denials, write-offs, bad debt, accounts receivable]. 
WHAT YOU’LL ACCOMPLISH
  • Evaluating and creating recommendations for different client billing models [e.g. cohort-based vs. individual models]
  • Identification of billing frameworks for new products and expanded offerings
  • Creating source of truth reporting for billing milestones, revenue recognition, client revenue retention, and more. 
  • Deep dive analysis into drivers of revenue growth and realization
  • Helping the Finance and Accounting teams prepare and ensure that data, tools, and systems are IPO-ready. 
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
  • 6+ years experience working with large datasets to solve business and technology problems
  • Proficiency working with scientific computing languages (R / Python) and SQL; prior experience with BI/visualization tools (Tableau, Mode Analytics) a must
  • Past experience in Finance, Accounting, RCM preferred, but not required
  • Expertise in model development, validation and implementation
  • The ability to communicate results clearly and a focus on driving impact
  • Ability to work autonomously and with minimal guidance
