Fitt Insider is looking for a talented writer with expertise in covering news and trends related to health, fitness, and wellness.
This job will require you to report on, analyze, and provide impactful insights on industry happenings, product launches, investment activity, and topics of interest to a business-minded audience.
Detailing what’s happening and explaining why it matters, you will be responsible for delivering concise copy that separates signal from noise.
The ideal candidate has a deep passion for and understanding of the health and fitness industry. But, our coverage **does not** include workout tips or nutrition advice.
Writing for an engaged audience of founders, executives, and investors, we break down the most important developments across a trillion-dollar industry, including boutique studios, connected equipment, wearable tech, health optimization, and more.

This is a full-time remote role. We’re also hiring freelance contributors.
What you’ll do
- Create engaging content, working to uncover emerging news and trends
- Write original content for Fitt Insider’s newsletter, website, and social channels
- Contribute to scaling our domestic and international coverage of industry developments
- Lead expansion of new verticals and additional weekly newsletters
- Pitch and/or claim potential topics relevant to a business-minded audience
- Collaborate in the drafting/editing process
Qualifications
- Business writing/reporting experience (especially in tech, digital health, venture capital, etc.)
- Experience identifying and analyzing business trends
- Ability to write in the Fitt Insider voice and style
- Familiarity with publishing daily or weekly email newsletters
- Versed in Twitter, LinkedIn, and content distribution best practices
- Understanding/execution of a reader-first approach to writing and storytelling
- Interest in/knowledge of the business of fitness & wellness
