In 2020, O2 won Beverage Marketing Campaign of the Year, and you’ll make sure that was just a starting point. We are building “The Patagonia of Hydration,” and we’re looking for an A+ Brand Marketer who wants to build something that matters.

The Vice President of Brand Marketing is responsible for building O2’s brand awareness, increasing the emotional connection people have with our brand, coordinating all customer-facing communications, and managing our community. 

You will lead our internal marketing team in the development and delivery of engaging and informative campaigns/communications to O2 fans and prospective customers while ensuring a consistently positive visual and written brand experience across channels. 

Depending on your background, you may also lead the development of new partnerships and management of existing ones to ensure deep, meaningful, and mutually beneficial relationships with other brands, partners, ambassadors, and stakeholders within our community.

Core duties and responsibilities

  • Ensure all channels execute content (text, visual, video) in alignment with brand vision and standards to solidify brand positioning and drive new customer acquisition
  • Own Campaigns, from concepting to execution to post-mortem, across channels including events, consumer activations, and digital
  • Lead the development and execution of our marketing plan and content calendar across all communications (email, paid and organic social, partnerships, events, etc.) using direct response selling and persuasive storytelling to promote O2’s products and brand consistently in several marketing channels
  • Optimize performance across all channels of consumer engagement to inform forward-looking planning and development of communications and campaigns
  • Own, execute and measure O2’s organic social media presence, leveling-up our current implementation to be best-in-industry
  • Recruit, manage, and measure O2’s influencer program to maximize value for all O2 ambassadors and athletes/influencers
  • Derive key insights from consumer research, campaign data, and digital analytics to drive marketing, brand strategy, and creative decisions across all channels
  • Develop, nurture, manage, and activate key partnerships with other brands, ambassadors, and stakeholders in our community to ensure a mutually beneficial relationship driving positive results in sales and/or impact across partners
  • Leverage digital and analog touchpoints to deliver an outstanding customer experience from point of purchase through consumption through repurchase
  • Own and manage O2’s positioning in the competitive environment

Your background

  • 7+ years of experience in the consumer goods or e-commerce space with experience scaling from low eight figures in revenue leveraging brand marketing
  • Successful track record at a startup below 25 people driving brand awareness and sales by managing a team of direct reports
  • CPG/ecomm in your background, fitness in your heart, and data analytics in your blood
  • A solid and demonstrated understanding of marketing and advertising principles
  • Comfortable doing, partnering, and delegating to achieve superior end-to-end marketing results, with ability and appetite to get hands-on when needed
  • Outstanding project management skills with the ability to plan and coordinate workflow
  • Strong understanding of DTC funnels (CAC, CLTV, Churn) and leveraging brand/campaign marketing to grow
  • Demonstrated success using quantitative data and qualitative customer conversations to inform decision making 
  • Experience wearing multiple hats and rolling up sleeves within a remote start-up environment (no job is too small)
  • Outstanding analytical skills with the ability to balance strong creative ideas with ROI
  • A passion for fitness, health, and wellness; likely a current/former competitive athlete
  • Hands-on experience with SEO, CRM, and analytics
  • Willing and able to work unconventional hours (e.g., late nights, some weekends)
  • US Military veteran status and/or a background in sales is a major plus
  • Campaign management at an agency with experience on the brand side a major plus
  • Proven success in developing, nurturing, and executing brand partnerships a major plus
