Responsibilities:

  • Act as a steward of Fleet Feet’s brand voice, ensuring all copy is consistent, authentic, and on-brand.

  • Write concept-driven copy for multi-channel campaigns, including advertising, ecommerce, email, social media, and in-store signage.

  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and designers to develop campaign concepts and headlines that work across platforms.

  • Partner with marketing, retail, digital, and product teams to translate business objectives into clear, persuasive messaging.

  • Develop high-impact slogans, taglines, calls-to-action, and performance-focused copy tailored to audience segments.

  • Adapt tone and messaging for different audiences and channels while maintaining brand integrity.

  • Participate in brainstorms and creative kickoffs, contributing ideas and shaping campaign messaging early.

  • Uphold Fleet Feet’s copy standards and editorial style guide.

  • Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining creative excellence.

  • Review and edit copy for clarity, accuracy, and alignment with brand standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Journalism, or related field—or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of professional copywriting experience in an agency or brand marketing environment.

  • Proven ability to write creative, persuasive, and on-brand copy across multiple formats and channels.

  • Experience developing campaign concepts and performance-driven creative.

  • Understanding of integrated marketing and adapting messaging across print, digital, and retail.

  • Strong presentation skills and the ability to sell creative ideas to stakeholders.

  • Highly organized with the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Proven track record collaborating with designers and creative teams to build cohesive campaigns.

  • Passion for storytelling, creativity, and connecting with diverse audiences through the power of running and movement.
