About the Role

As our Senior Director of Design, you’ll own and shape the design function at Charlie Health. You will work alongside EPD, marketing, and clinical leadership to figure out how we can help reduce youth suicide rates – while hiring, leading, and coaching a team of designers to bring that vision to life.

You’ll thrive in this role if you’re someone who believes good ideas can come from anywhere, you’re excited about the chance to define the vision for our future while also thinking about how to make our experience excellent today, and you care deeply about how we work as well as the work itself. Our business is scaling rapidly and we believe this role will be central to our continued growth and our ability to help our clients.

Our team is comprised of passionate, forward-thinking professionals eager to take on the challenge of the mental health crisis and play a formative role in providing life-saving solutions. We are looking for a candidate who is inspired by our mission and excited by the opportunity to increase access to mental healthcare and impact millions of lives in a profound way.

  • A portfolio that showcases exceptional handling of type, space, form, color, and visual hierarchy. Strong visual craft, with stylistic breadth, attention to detail, and a clear obsession for pixels.
  • An iterative, data-driven approach to design, with the ability to coach teams on how to effectively mix quantitative and qualitative research and when to learn by shipping.
  • Excellent communication skills (written, visual, and verbal).
  • A sense of humor. The ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment and an enjoyment for fostering learning and growth.
  • You are work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency.
