We’re looking for a Controller to build out our accounting team and function. This role reports to the Head of Finance.
Responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing day-to-day accounting functions like A/P, A/R, collections, and general ledger activities; building systems to improve processes
- Ensuring the production of timely financial reporting, including managing monthly, quarterly, and annual statements and closing; building systems to improve processes
- Implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with state and federal financial regulations
- Implementing best-in-class accounting systems such as NetSuite
- Owning external audit processes, coordinating with auditors and regulators as needed
- Managing, developing, motivating and retaining a high-performance accounting team
Ideal candidate has:
- Total 8-10+ years of accounting experience, with:
- 3-5+ year of public accounting experience
- 3-5+ years of in-house accounting experience at a late-stage startup or fast-growing environment
- Proven experience in managing day-to-day accounting operations and systems
- Solid leadership skills, with a strong track record of hiring, developing, and retaining top talent
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor’s or higher degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA required
- Familiarity with SOX readiness and compliance requirements
- A willingness to “roll up your sleeves” and do whatever is necessary to ensure company success
- Experience working in a rapidly evolving startup environment

The target salary range for this position is: $160K – 180K. Individual compensation for this role will depend on a variety of factors including qualifications, skills and applicable laws. In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible to participate in our equity incentive and competitive benefits plans.
