About us:

Grow Therapy is on a mission to serve as the trusted partner for therapists growing their practice, and patients accessing high-quality care. Powered by technology, we are a three-sided marketplace that empowers providers, augments insurance payors, and serves patients. Following the mass increase in depression and anxiety, the need for accessibility is more important than ever. To make our vision for mental healthcare a reality, we’re building a team of entrepreneurs and mission-driven go-getters. Since launching in February 2021, we’ve empowered more than ten thousand therapists and hundreds of thousands of clients across the country and insurance landscape. We’ve raised more than $178mm of funding from Sequoia Capital, Transformation Capital, TCV, SignalFire, and others.

We are looking for an experienced, expert People Business Partner (PBP) to be the founding Director of the PBP team at Grow, setting the vision, goals, and building the infrastructure and team over time. As Grow scales in size and complexity, you will be a strategic people partner to Business Leaders, Executives, and Managers across the company. The Director will report to the VP People and be a critical member of the People Leadership Team. Ultimately, the Director is responsible for founding, scaling, and evolving a best-in-class PBP group at Grow that strengths individual and team performance and culture, and empowers people to reach and exceed their business goals.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Build and manage a best-in-class and unique-to-Grow People Business Partner (PBP) group: As the founding Director, determine vision, goals, and roadmap for the PBP group at Grow. Design team structure, hire and manage exceptional PBP team members. As Grow scales over time, elevate the PBP team to meet evolving leader, manager, and company needs, balancing impact and efficiency on the team.
  • Build a cohesive, excellent PBP infrastructure: Codify or create guiding philosophies, processes, workflows, data analysis and reporting, and tools to provide consistent, data-driven, high-impact PBP support across the company. Integrate DEIB into all practices.
  • Provide strategic people partnership to business leaders and managers to strengthen their individual and team performance and ability to reach business goals: Assess needs and strategic priorities in partnership with leaders, quickly build credibility and trust, and take data-driven action and show results quickly. Advise and execute on a range of strategic people issues, including: team structure design, workforce planning, performance management, career pathing, employee relations, conflict resolution, communication, change management, culture and engagement, DEIB, etc.
  • Lead performance management: Building on our current performance management process, refine and evolve the vision and goals for performance management at Grow. Collaborate with business leaders to assess and calibrate the effectiveness of their current performance management practices and data, with the goals of creating consistency across Grow and tailored solutions and processes for each team. Use data to measure performance across the company and drive targeted actions.
  • Provide expertise and leadership across the People organization: The People team operates as one team across four functional areas: Talent Recruitment, People Business Partner, Employee Experience, and People Operations. Collaborate with the People Leadership Team (which includes VP People and heads of each functional team) to lead an excellent, collaborative, highly connected and aligned People organization.

Salary range: $151,200- $230,000

You’ll Be a Good Fit If:

  • You have 10+ years’ relevant People/HR experience with a proven track record as a trusted People Business Partner (or HRBP), with at least 5 years in a leadership role
  • Proven ability to partner with executives and senior leaders in a scaling organization, aligning the people strategy with business goals and growth
  • Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to build and manage high-performing People Business Partner professionals; experience building, managing, and scaling a team
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data to inform decision-making
