Commissions (Compensation) Analyst
Commercial Strategy & Operations (“CSO”) (i.e., Lantern’s Revenue Operations team) supports the President and broader go-to-market function, including Sales, Client Success, Marketing, Channel Partners (health plans, ecosystem partners, and benefits consultants/brokers), and Provider Network Development. CSO is responsible for Commercial strategy, planning, insights, systems/tools, process, and data. This role reports to the Director, CSO Analytics & Insights and will support compensation administration and commercial analytics for all commercial departments.
Location: Remote | USA | Travel Required
Responsibilities:
- Manage compensation payments for all Commercial roles and approvals for payroll submission (e.g., plan documents, calculators, training, issue resolution)
- Model and forecast compensation costs and payout scenarios against quota attainment to identify trends, gaps, and optimization opportunities
- Administer the distribution and execution of compensation plans and maintain system of record for all compensation plans by individual
- Develop and maintain dashboards on compensation metrics and performance
- Collaborate with Finance on revenue recognition, commission accrual, and audit processes
- Manage the implementation and training of new compensation plan designs and new hires
- Manage compensation systems and tools
- Conduct advanced data analysis to extract actionable insights from commercial performance data, identifying patterns and trends that inform strategic decision-making
- Support the CSO & Commercial Leadership Team in annual compensation design and provide analytical support to optimize compensation programs while ensuring accuracy and compliance in payment administrations
Requirements:
- 2-4 years of experience in sales compensation, sales operations, or related finance or analytical field
- Ability to create financial models and perform scenario analyses
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to handle complex compensation scenarios
- Experience in healthcare, employer benefits, or digital health a plus
